Do not dismantle or tamper with your delivery.

Modification of the water delivery system is a prosecutable offense if modified without written permission by the Benton Irrigation District. Tampering and/or modifying a delivery could result in the following:

  • Your water being turned off until the next regularly scheduled board meeting,
  • Paying all the costs for repair, and
  • An administrative fee of $250 for the first offense, a $1,000 fee for the second offense with possible prosecution and water shut-off for the remainder of the season.

To maintain your delivery:

In the spring, before water turn-on, close all valves to prevent flooding.

During water season, regularly clean your filter. Do NOT water from, or attach a hose to, your filter except while cleaning.

In the fall, as soon as water turns off, open all valves to prevent freezing. You will need to drain your personal lines. Re-open all valves after blowing out your lines. Repair costs for improper winterization will be billed to the property owner.
