The District is pleased to announce the 2016 assessments will remain the same as the 2015 assessments (No Increase). If you have not received your assessment(s) by February 1, 2016 PLEASE CONTACT THE BILLING OFFICE at 588-4396 to make sure we have your correct billing address. ALL DELIVERIES HAVE BEEN DESIGNED TO DELIVER 5.82 GPM PER ACRE DISTRICT WIDE.

ANYONE THAT TAMPERS OR MODIFIES THEIR DELIVERIES WILL BE SHUT OFF AND WILL NOT BE TURNED BACK ON UNTIL ATTENDING A DISTRICT BOARD MEETING AND PAYING ALL COSTS TO RESTORE THE POINT OF DELIVERY TO THE ORIGINAL CONDITION. PLUS A $250.00 FEE FOR THE FIRST OFFENSE. A $1000 FEE AND POSSIBLE PROSECUTION FOR THE SECOND OFFENSE

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT YOUR POINT OF DELIVERY OR YOUR WATER ALLOTMENT PLEASE CALL US AT 509-588-3510.

DO NOT ATTACH ANY HOSE OR PIPING TO THE FILTERS ON THE DELIVERIES.

IF YOU HAVE A FILTER ON YOUR DELIVERY, IT MUST BE LEFT IN PLACE WHILE YOU’RE RUNNING WATER.  THIS FILTER IS TO PROTECT THE PRESSURE REGULATING VALVE.  THE COST OF THIS VALVE, IF DAMAGED BY RUNNING WITHOUT THE FILTER IN PLACE, WILL BE BILLED TO THE WATER USER.

IF WE FIND YOUR FILTER HAS BEEN REMOVED YOUR SERVICE WILL BE SHUT OFF UNTIL ARRANGEMENTS ARE MADE WITH THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS TO REINSTATE YOUR WATER. YOU MAY ALSO BE ASSESED A $50.00 TURN ON FEE.

THE PROPERTY OWNER IS RESPONSIBLE TO CLEAN THE FILTER.  IF YOU NEED TRAINING ON HOW TO CLEAN YOUR FILTER, PLEASE CALL US AT (509) 588-3510.  WE ARE HAPPY TO HELP.  IF YOU ARE PHYSICALLY UNABLE TO CLEAN YOUR FILTER, WE WILL CLEAN IT FOR YOU.

Benton Irrigation District will no longer be accepting water assessment payments at the BID office. All payments will have to be sent directly to the Benton County Treasurer at 5600 W Canal Dr STE A, Kennewick, WA 99336. There is also a drop box for your payment in front of Benton City Hall.

The District strongly encourages water users to contact the billing office if you have not received your assessment bill by the end of January to confirm that your billing information is correct.
